Alcohol Ink Art

Alcohol Ink is one of my favorite mediums and probably one of the most challenging.

This medium requires blending the inks with isopropyl alcohol of 91% or higher purity. Alcohol inks work best a non porous surfaces such as water proof paper, yupo paper, photography paper, flat tiles and even glass. 

Most of the inks I used are highly pigmented as soon ad the alcohol touches the ink, it will start to bleed. the challenge is to direct the ink to the desired area as it dries extremely fast. 

I love to mix the inks with metallics. 

I highly recommend  to those wanting to try this technique to use a well ventilated room, use a mask and rubber globes.
